Here's a really good-looking zombie flick! The setting is reminiscent of Resident Evil 5 but also Fulci's Zombi 2. Clicking the link will take you to the movie's website, but we've got the latest trailer for you here...
Some great looking historical epics coming this year - the main spotlight will be on Ridley Scott's Robin Hood, of course, but keep an eye out for The Black Death, starring Sean Bean, and this little movie. Starring Brian Cox, James Purefoy, Paul Giamati and Jason Flemyng,it tells the tale of 20 knights who must defend a castle from an oncoming army. Unfortunately we couldn't embed the trailer, but clicking the link will take you to it. Although the site is in German, the trailer is in English.
Feb 18, 2010, Trailer Alert - Original Promo for From Dusk Til Dawn
The name Joe Pilato is going to be popping up on this site a couple of times in the next month - you may remember him as the manic army captain in Romero's Day of the Dead. Here he appears in a very early promo for From Dusk Til Dawn.
Many of you will know that Quentin Tarantino wrote From Dusk Til Dawn early in his career. It was a spec script for fx company KNB who wanted to make a movie which showcased their work. As you can see in the trailer, not a hell of a lot changed when Robert Rodrigues stepped in to direct - except we lost out on Joe Polito yelling "Choke On 'em!!!"...music is AC/DC's Hell's Bells, btw...
Feb 18, 2010, Trailer Alert - Scott Adkins in Stag Night
Anyone lucky enough to be attending Frightfest in Edinburgh next weekend will have the chance to check out a new horror co-starring action star Scott Adkins (Undisputed 2 & 3, Ninja)in a more straightforward dramatic role. The film is about a group of friends out on a stag night who get stranded at a disused subway station and fall prey to a group of feral vagrants. I'm a sucker for this type of survival horror and Scott is the icing on the cake. Check out the new trailer...
Feb 15, 2010, Trailer Alert - Centurion
I know a lot of people weren't enamoured with the mash-up of Genres that was Neil Marshal's Doomsday, although I personally love it.
However, Marshal's latest would seem to be much more even in tone, although just as visceral as all his films have been to date. Centering on the myth of the 9th Legion, which completely vanished while on duty in Scotland, surviving soldiers must battle their way through enemy territory...
Feb 13, 2010, The Ladykillers
The Ladykillers, a classic Ealing comedy given star treatment by Studio Canal, remastered for Blu-Ray
Blood and Bone - on paper, another generic Fighting Tournament movie. In reality, an entertaining DTV thriller with a real action star in Michael Jai White
