Jul 21, 2010, Trailer Alert - The Sword with No Name

Cine Asia continue their dominance of the UK asian action releases with the upcoming Sword With No Name, a Korean epic mixing swordfights, courtly intrigue and forbidden romance. A review will be up in due time, but you have to love the shot of a single swordsman taking on an army! Cine Asia plan to release this on 20th September.

Jul 21, 2010, Trailer Alert - Dolph Lundgren is The Killing Machine!

Good to see Dolph involved in some decent movies of late. This has been released in some territories as Icarus, but for the UK release it's now The Killing Machine. Having seen it, it's a decent DTV thriller with a lot of action, and Dolph looks fantastic for his age. Anchor Bay Entertainment are releasing the film in the UK on August 16th - check out the trailer below:

Jul 16, 2010, Trailer Alert - Donnie Yen in 14 Blades

14 Blades sees Donnie Yen in fine form in a martial arts epic where he is a member of the Emperor's guards who carry out state-sanctioned executions. A plot by Sammo Hung sees his men set up and betrayed, leaving Donnie to exact revenge. A full review will be up nearer the release date of 16th August (courtesy of Icon Home Entertainment), but I will say now that it is a very enjoyable action flick reminiscent of Yuen Woo Ping's early Jet Li pics. Here's the trailer...

We'll be reviewing the film shortly, but in the meantime here's a trailer. And the sharks are great, trust me.

Jul 10, 2010, Trailer Alert - Invisible Target

AT LAST!!! on 2nd August Cine Asia will be releasing in the UK the Dragon Dynasty disc of Invisible Target, one of the best Summer Blockbuster movies you're likely to see this year. Packed full of big names, and the movie makes good on the trailers promise of lots and lots of severe ass-kicking and shoot-outs. In fact, the trailer doesn't even feature one of the best fight sequences. Expect to hear more on this one in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, here is the trailer - check out the double-decker bus stunt!
